On June 6th, the 2026 "Chinese Bridge" Language Proficiency Competition UAE Regional Finals for Primary, Middle, and University Students was successfully held at Zayed University. Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zeng Jixin, Provost of Zayed University Michael Allen, Head of the UAE Chinese Language Expansion Program "100 Schools Project" Ms. Fatima, and participants, teachers, and parents in total more than 400 people attended the event.
Ambassador Zeng pointed out that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, China-UAE relations have made significant progress, with fruitful results in cultural and educational cooperation. The "Chinese Bridge" is not only a bridge of language but also a bridge of culture and friendship connecting China and the UAE. He hoped that the students would take this competition as a new starting point, maintain their enthusiasm, grow into a generation of young people who understand Chinese and know China, and become envoys of China-UAE friendship.
This year's "Chinese Bridge" UAE preliminary round attracted 619 primary, middle, and university students to participate. The atmosphere at the finals was lively, with contestants showcasing their talents in Chinese speech, calligraphy, singing and dancing, shadow puppetry, face-changing and other traditional arts, expressing their understanding and love for Chinese culture.
