On September 15, 2026, "Hello, China Book Promotion Event" was held during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair. Minister Zhao Liang at the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, Liu Hongjie, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of China Education Publishing & Media Group Co., Ltd, H.E. Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, and Dr. Ahmad Elsaid, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bayt Al Hikma Cultural Industries Group, together with all guests attended the event.
In his remarks, Minister Zhao Liang stated that this event is a vivid example of cultural exchange between China and the UAE. In recent years, cultural exchanges between the two countries have gained fruitful results, contributing lasting momentum to the development of bilateral relations. China is willing to work with the UAE to implement the Global Civilization Initiative, using books as a medium to enhance mutual learning between civilizations, and solidify the foundation of public opinion for friendship between the two countries.
The book series "Hello, China" feature 99 carefully selected Chinese characters, showcasing the rich connotations of traditional Chinese culture from multiple perspectives. The event, hosted by China Higher Education Press, echoes the 2026 UAE's "Family Year" theme with the Mid-Autumn Festival, promoting mutual understanding between the two peoples of China and UAE.
