On September 17, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zhang Yiming met with UAE Minister of Sports H.E. Dr. Ahmad Al Falasi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Sports H.E. Ghanim Al Hajeri, and Minister Zhao Liang at Chinese Embassy also attended the meeting.

Ambassador Zhang stated that UAE has vigorously developed its sports industry in recent years, successfully attracting numerous international events and promoting the deep integration and development of its cultural, sports, and tourism industries. China-UAE sports cooperation has enormous potential and broad prospects. China is willing to further deepen bilateral sports exchanges and cooperation with the UAE and continuously enhance the people-to-people bond between the two countries.

H.E. Al-Falasi stated that sports cooperation is an important component of the comprehensive strategic partnership between UAE and China. The UAE is willing to strengthen coordination with Chinese sports authorities and professional institutions to promote the implementation of more practical cooperation projects in the sports field and welcomes more Chinese athletes to train and compete in the UAE.
