On September 29, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in the UAE held a reception to solemnly celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over 500 people attended the reception, including Ambassador Zhang Yiming and his wife, UAE government representative H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, H.E. Mohamed Al Ali, Chair of the friendship committee with the national people’s congress of China from FNC, H.E. Abdulla Al Saleh, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, H.E. Omar Al Suwaidi, the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology; senior military officials, as well as friendly figures from all walks of life, diplomatic envoys to the UAE, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions in the UAE, overseas Chinese, teachers, and international students attended the reception.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhang promoted the Chinese path, the achievements of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the Global Governance Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. He reiterated China's solemn position on the Taiwan issue and expressed hope for greater development of China-UAE relations at a new starting point.

The reception was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The guests enthusiastically visited the exhibition of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China," as well as exhibitions of robots, new energy vehicles, and Xinjiang fruit specialties. All guests also watched a video of the September 3rd military parade in Beijing and enjoyed a wonderful cultural performance.
