On September 1, a film reception commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held in Abu Dhabi, hosted by the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, supported by the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, and organized by Chinese Cultural Center in the UAE. With its theme "Remember History, Honor Fallen Heroes, Cherish Peace, and Create a Better Future”, the reception featured a screening of the film "The Composer." The film's creators, including renowned actor Hu Jun, offered congratulatory messages via video. Over 600 people attended the event, including Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yiming and Mrs Zhu Naizhen, representatives from UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, and other government departments, over ten ambassadors from various countries, including Kazakhstan, as well as friendly people from all walks of life in the UAE, representatives of Chinese-funded institutions, and overseas Chinese communities in the UAE.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhang stated that the film "The Composer" tells the touching story of Chinese musician Xian Xinghai, who persisted in composing anti-Japanese war songs while trapped in Almaty, inspiring the people to fight against fascism. History and reality tell us that all countries must share the responsibility of maintaining peace. President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Governance Initiative at the SCO Tianjin Summit today, charting the course for further improving global governance. China and UAE are both builders of world peace, contributors to global development, and defenders of the international order. China stands ready to work with UAE to uphold multilateralism through taking real actions and build a community with a shared future for humankind.
The guests were deeply touched by the film, with many in the audience moved to tears. They expressed a profound sense of the preciousness of peace, which deserves to be cherished.

A photo exhibition themed on the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was also held at the event, attracting many guests to stop and view it. The event was reported by China Central Television, People's Daily, and Xinhua News Agency.
