On May 25, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yiming went to Dubai to attend the 4th Leadership Transition Ceremony of Asian Regional Federation of China Peaceful Reunification Promotion Associations and delivered a speech. About 660 people attended the ceremony, including Chairmen of 25 associations for the promotion of peaceful reunification in 17 Asian countries and overseas Chinese in the UAE.

Ambassador Zhang congratulated Chen Zhixiang, Chairman of the UAE Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China, on his election as the Fourth Chairman of Asian Regional Federation, paid high tribute to former Chairmen Wang Zhimin and Zhang Guilong, and all members of Asian Regional Federation, and highly praised the work done by Asian Regional Federation for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification to unite overseas Chinese in Asia to fight against "independence" and promote reunification.

Ambassador Zhang emphasized that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Taiwan, and the two sides of the Taiwan Strait will eventually and inevitably reunify. Ambassador Zhang encouraged the new term of Asian Regional Federation for Promoting Reunification of China to maintain love for the Party and the Motherland as its unchanging basic tone, resolutely fight against all separatist acts, unite Taiwan compatriots, promote exchanges and integration, play the role of a bridge and bond, consolidate and expand the pattern of the international community adhering to the one-China principle, and make greater contributions to the realization of the complete reunification of the motherland, and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
